Weedopia was a side project that I was working on in the early 2010s. It was meant to be a spoof/meme RPG about Weed but with a serious tone. The game is seen as taking itself very seriously all while being an obvious joke. It was always meant to be a free release. Unfortunately, the game never got completed and to this day it remains a 5+ hour demo. You can play infinitely through crafting, cooking, growing weed, and selling though. The main reason for this game's development halt was the lack of funds to hire graphic artists, musical artists as well as programmers. A Kickstarted was made but failed miserably. Weedopia and its Kickstarter were even featured in iDUbbbz's Kickstarted Crap series which frankly, was an honor at the time. He made fun of the game of course and somehow, I feel that he totally missed the point of the joke, but ultimately, it brought a lot of attention to the game and many new fans came of it making Weedopia a true meme classic today. The demo was downloaded over 155,000 times so thank you to all those who gave it a shot for laughs and/or enjoyed it.
